Hofstra University's 'Career Closet' allows students to obtain professional attire, predicated on the idea that "... being a [student] is expensive enough without having to shell out hundreds of dollars for a professional wardrobe..."

Donated clothing items will be made available to student from across Edmonton for an affordable fundraising fee, breaking down affordability barriers for those looking to expand their professional closet.

A new study looks specifically at how formal attire changes people's thought processes. “Putting on formal clothes makes us feel powerful, and that changes the basic way we see the world,” says Abraham Rutchick, an author of the study and a professor of psychology at California State University, Northridge.

In alignment with NCWIB's mission and vision, the Clothing Drive aims to change the way young women experience the economy. Refreshing your closet, or building your workplace wardrobe empowers people to feel confident in the way in which they present themselves in professional settings.
